Leo R. Boutin, Sr., age 68, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017 at his home in Riverside, RI. He was the husband of the late Catherine A. (Peeper) Boutin.

Born in Fall River, MA a son of the late Leo J. and Georgianne (Gagnon) Boutin he was a long time resident of Fall River and Swansea before moving to Riverside, RI.

Leo R. Boutin, Sr., age 68, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017 at his home in Riverside, RI. He was the husband of the late Catherine A. (Peeper) Boutin.

Born in Fall River, MA a son of the late Leo J. and Georgianne (Gagnon) Boutin he was a long time resident of Fall River and Swansea before moving to Riverside, RI.

A veteran of the US Army, he served during the Vietnam War. An electrician by trade, he owned his own electrical business for many years and also had taught electricity for a time at Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School. He also served for a time as an EMT for the town of Swansea. Helping people was near and dear to his heart.

He is survived by his three children, Leo R. Boutin, Jr. and his wife Wendy of Warren, Christine A. Cantelmo and her husband Paul of Tiverton and Timothy Boutin of Fall River; three sisters, Rachel Boutin-Zackaseski, Pauline Leonardo and Claudette La Rosee; two brothers, Marcel Boutin and Roger Boutin; six grandchildren, Kayla Filkins, Kyle Santos, Joshua Santos, Jeremy Boutin, Logan Cantelmo and Xander Cantelmo; two great-grandchildren, Jamie and Theta and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Laura Lynn Boutin.

His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 5:00 PM in the Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home, 615 Main Street, Warren, RI. Visiting hours are prior to the service from 3 - 5 PM.
